1968, the Hallmark Label, a division of Pickwick Records, began to
release in the UK a series of 92 albums (stretching to 1985) featuring
re-recorded versions of current chart hits by uncredited session
musicians who became known as 'The Top Of The Poppers'. Included among
them were the likes of future hitmakers Elton John and Tina Charles, but
here are all the original tracks that the recordings were based on.
